Emmy Reads

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children - Ransom Riggs

I read this on the train from Scotland. I might have had too high expectations because I've heard so many people rave about it.

I thought it was just okay, not bad, but certainly not one of the best books I've ever read. I thought the storytelling was really unique, which made interesting. Especially with the pictures interwoven with the text.

It also wasn't as predictable as I though it would be, which I appreciate.

Beauty Queens - Libba Bray

Just re-read this book after finding it behind my desk. Forgot how great it is.
